Denmark from Copenhagen to Århus Part IV of the epic cycling trip to the North.

Copenhagen - Reerslev 104 km

After spending half a day in Copenhagen. I resumed my trip and went to see an old friend in a village 25 km south of Kalundborg. Passed Roskilde and took some small roads in a nice countryside. On my way I met Elsebeth in who has a little shop worth visiting, she offered me coffee and a piece of delicious cake. Stayed 2 nights in a friend's farm.

Reerslev - Samsø 48 km

Samsø is a small Island between Kalunborg and Ahus, going through Samsø I avoided the train to cross the canal to Funen island. In Kalundborg I took a ferry then cycled 15 km north to a camping in Tvang. On my way I saw 2 marsoin and a seal at the beach so keep your eyes open. Samsø is a quite charming island with beautiful beaches and is not too crowed. The north part of the island is the most beautiful.

Samsø - Aarhus  62 km

Easy relaxing ride. After exploring the North of Samsø riding 20 km, I took the boat to Hou in Jylland then I followed the coast cycling road passing nice beaches and a large forest on the coast 10 km south of Aarhus.

 Arrival in Jutland

Time for a break and a cold swim in the Baltic

Lunch with a view 10 km before reaching Aarhus

After 2356 kilometres biking over less than a month it is time to go home, Irene came for a long week-end in Aarhus and picked me up and we drove back to Antwerpen

THE END for now...
